Śhavāsana 

Picture
Śhava means corpse, dead body. In this pose one lie down with out any movements like a corpse. Hence the name.

Technique:
  • Lie flat on your back.
  • Feet slightly apart, falling side ways freely. 
  • Hands slightly away from your body. 
  • Palms facing upwards.
  • Fingers relaxed.
  • Keep the eyes closed.
  • Observe the breath and be aware of the body.
  • Maintain this pose for 5-15 min with normal and even breathing.

  • It gives complete relaxation to mind and body.
