Mēru Prishthāsana

Technique:

Stand in 
Tāḍāsana.
Move the feet one foot apart.
Feet parallel to each other.
Inhale, raise the arms to the shoulder level.
Palms facing upwards. Bend the arms at the elbows and place the fingers on the shoulders.
Exhale, bend forward from the trunk with out bending the knees and twist the trunk towards right.
Keep the spine straight.
Hold the pose with normal breathing for about 30 sec.
Inhale, twist back to center.
Exhale, twist the trunk to left.
Hold the pose for same length of time.
Inhale, come to center and raise the trunk up.
Release the hands.
Relax in sitila Tāḍāsana.
